The second annual Black Rock Film Fest will be presented by the Boston Underground Film Festival and the Engine Theater. Our open air theater will showcase the best short films from around the world to an international audience of art and film lovers who descend on Burning Man each year for fun, art, and experience in the Nevada desert.
Black Rock Film Fest 2011 will kick off with a Red Carpet Opening Night Gala before the first program on Tuesday night and conclude with a Wrap Party after the last films on Friday night. Before every screening we will host a cocktail hour at our Casting Couch Bar. The Black Rock Film Fest will also host a live performance from The Zebbler Encanti Experience.
The Black Rock Film Fest (formerly known as BRC International Film Festival) began as a collaboration between SF IndieFest and BUFF, the organizations responsible for the annual San Francisco Independent Film Festival, SF Documentary Film Fest, Another Hole in the Head, and the Boston Underground Film Festival. The organizers have collectively produced over 40 film festivals.
