The SHIFT Camp Lecture Series presents Robin Tala of Cyphertown and several surprise Youth Guests who will talk about Hip Hop Culture, Brand Attack, and how the children of tomorrow are gonna save TODAY. The evolution is upon us.Robin Tala is the Founder and Director of Cyphertown Productions, a socially conscious event production company dedicated to raising money for progressive movements and causes. Cyphertown, well known for their presence on the Playa in providing a home for Hip Hop Enthusiasts and Artists, has raised over $10,000 for activist causes in the last 2 years including the Tibetan People's Uprising Movement, Turf Unity Project, Art in Action, among others. Coming from a home/alternative schooling background, Robin was empowered at a young age to take charge of his life and live his dreams. Before the age of 18 he served as the national coordinator of the Paper Campaign for Student Environmental Action Coalition, and organized with School of the Americas Watch, Mobilization for Global Justice, the World Bank Bonds Boycott and many local activist organizations in his home town of Bloomington, Indiana. Robin currently serves on the Board of Directors of the CommuniTree Movement and continues to build cultural bridges creating powerful coalitions from previously unknown allies.
