I have been enjoying the sunsets on the playa for a long time. There is something special in each one. once the sun goes down, it's a great time to throw a frisbee, do some acrobatics, and enjoy a glass of wine on the far side, where noone camps, and there's nothing between you and the mountains but space. there is also a very cool optical illusion - the surface being a lakebed, catches the light of sunset and makes for a sparkly goodness. I encourage you to come for a good long while and watch and see what you see. it's one of the coolest things on the playa, and I tend to enjoy it alone. After 10 years, it's time to share the secret. Come on out :) 7:11 and I is where we'll gather and we'll walk out to beyond the outer ring and share some magical time together. No art cars, please, just come with yourself, and perhaps a camp chair or blanket.
