Description:

The Movement Minyan is an opportunity to physically experience a specific theme within the dynamics of Jewish prayer, informed by movement arts like contact improvisation, authentic movement and yoga.

Each session focuses on individual prayer (tefillat yachid) versus communal prayer (tefillat tzibbur) through different approaches to tefillah modeled in Jewish liturgy, including the structures of "follow the leader", "call and response", "praying alone together" and "praying together".
