Description:

Nude portraits of humans. Singles, couples, groups. Each participant gets a free gallery quality 11x14 gelatin silver print on premium fiber paper. Prints will be mailed a few weeks after the event, as I work in traditional emulsion based process. Everyone is welcome, including families with children.

The human form is art’s oldest and most persistent subject. Photography, perhaps the most documentarian of all art forms, is a particularly challenging medium for it. My approach is not to challenge photography’s inherent literalism but work within its framework. My subjects are real people, who happen to be nude and whose nudity is neither contrived nor interactive. They don’t call for an action or elicit a particular response from the viewer.

I also hope that my images aren’t nudesploitation either: the human form I strive for isn’t employed to talk about anything else whatsoever. Hence, I don’t work with professional models or in a studio. If you are interested in posing for this project, please come by.

If you are interested in assisting, and are well versed in practice and theory of photography as an art medium, please get in touch.
