Description:

All week Burmingham Observatory will provide telescopes on scaffolding platforms for anyone to use, anytime (including daytime use - spy on other camps, spy on the Man!) complete with a self-guided instructional pamphlet for when our camp staff is not around. Additionally, on Tuesday and Thursday nights, from midnight to 3:00AM, we will give a fun, simple Astronomy lecture including: telescope etiquette, what constellations and planets are readily observable during the burn, some basics of stargazing and navigating the night sky, as well as an open Q&A session with our knowledgeable space enthusiasts and resident Astrobiologist. We will also provide hot cocoa for attendees and a chill lounge to cozy up in when you're not on the scope.
