Description:

In "Religion for Atheists" Alain de Botton argues that "rather than mocking religions, agnostics and atheists should instead steal from them – because they're packed with good ideas on how we might live and arrange our societies." This discussion is about distilling the tools of religions from the dogmas that surround them. (Don't don't throw out the baby with the holy water!) Rather than trying to cover this whole topic in a single workshop, the goal will be to introduce the general concepts while facilitating the sharing of resources (books, articles, quotes, etc.) for people to explore on their own. Please bring something to share.
