Description:

Presented by Annie Oak. The Saraswati Tea House was launched at Burning Man 2011 as a place for guests to rest, rehydrate and participate in the Chinese Gong Fu tea ritual. It's creators continued this project off the playa where it evolved into the Full Circle Tea House and continues to serve at many festivals and gatherings - including the 2012 Burn. This talk will describe how this model of community tea service can be used to provide compassionate hospitality at events where there are often too few friendly spaces that offer water, warm tea, quiet conversation, grounding ritual and a place to nap.
