The Naked Comedy Showcase is the creation of Andy Ofiesh, a stand-up comedian from Boston, Massachusetts. For years Andy has organized hosted naked comedy shows featuring Boston area comics doing stand-up in the nude. Andy's first naked comedy show in a public venue was at Improv Boston this past summer days before going to the Edinburgh Fringe in August. News of the event spread quickly and preceded his arrival in Edinburgh.

After arriving in Scotland for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Andy seized an opportunity at Spank!, the late night comedy showcase at Smirnoff Underbelly, to do a 1 minute naked promo for the show that he was performing in called Why Work?. The overwhelming positive response at the event prompted Andy to host his Naked Comedy Showcase in Edinburgh.

Encouraged by the success of the shows at Improv Boston and at The Fringe in Edinburgh, Andy has organized an ongoing monthly naked comedy show at Improv Boston. News of the show was reported in both of Boston's major newspapers:
