Description:

Come to the "On the Red Carpet" Premiere to watch the results of the Black Rock City 48 Hour Film Project! Each of these movies was made in 48 hours on the Playa. "Cinderplaya" features a wizard searching for his Playa love. "Portaman" discovers a mastermind's plan to destroy Burningman. "Sister Lucy" helps Burners learn about sex. During "Abandon All Hope and Fear", a dream teaches the way of the Playa. More movies will be included. The 48 Hour Film Project's mission is to advance filmmaking and promote filmmakers. Through its festivals the Project encourages filmmakers and would-be filmmakers to get out there and make movies. The tight deadline of 48 hours puts the focus squarely on the filmmakers—emphasizing creativity and teamwork skills. While the time limit places an unusual restriction on the filmmakers, it is also liberating by putting an emphasis on "doing" instead of "talking." At Videogasm in Snowflake Village at 8:15 & Edelweiss. Bring your own chair or tarp. Note, to join the BRC 48 Hour Film Project to help make a film, come to the kick-off at Videogasm on Tuesday, August 28th between 3-5 PM.
