In ancient times, Egyptians believed all forms of life were believed to have been created by RA, the Sun God, who called each of them into existence by speaking their secret names. Humans were created from RA's tears and sweat.

The Egyptians often referred to the sun and the moon as the "eye"s of particular gods. RA's right eye was equated with the sun, and his left eye equated with the moon.

The Eye of RA therefore, can also take the form of a goddess: the mother who brings RA forth. RA was sometimes said to enter the body of the sky goddess at sunset, impregnating her and setting the stage for his rebirth at sunrise.

In the spirit of Fertility 2.0, we must pay homage to RA at night with the moon in full, before he is born again at dawn Friday morning.

Egyptian attire is requested for our evening Eye of Ra party. Come as Cleopatra, Marc Anthony, Pharaoh, or any of your favorite Ancient Egyptian Gods and Goddesses to prove your dedication to Ra and be protected until eternity.
