Yoni Yoga at the Temple
Description:
Women, goddesses, yoginis, mammas, maidens, crones and princesses of the Playa,
Come celebrate & relish in your feminine power, grace and softness with some gentle sunset yoga. All manifestations of the feminine are invited to join in this practice that will help you tone, open and tune into the pelvic floor, while connecting us with the vast array of pleasurable possibilities in this yummy part of our bodies. In addition to igniting the strength, suppleness and juiciness of our bodies, we'll also gather inspiration from each other to manifest our most wild, uninhibited, embodied and instinctual selves, bringing that energy into in the ways we move, breathe, dance, create, connect and play on and off the Playa.
Pregnant women of the Playa are especially encouraged to join and will be given appropriate modifications to support their growing bellies and babies.
No yoga experience required. You are encouraged to bring a mat, as well as a sarong, towel or scarf.
Meet behind the Temple (facing away from The Man).
Britt Fohrman gathers her depth of knowledge of the female reproductive system from over 12 years of work as a birth doula, as well as her expertise as a yoga teacher trained mostly in the Iyengar linage since 1993. Her HypnoBirthing childbirth education training and experience in witnessing peace and ease in birth has inspired her to apply these principles of visualization, meditation, breathing and affirmations to other aspects of women's health, particularly fertility and pelvic health. Her teaching style is warm, patient and focused on supporting each student to connect to the voice and abilities of their own body. In addition to training teachers in yoga for women, Britt has a full yoga teaching schedule that includes all kinds of therapeutic private sessions, Prenatal and Gentle Hatha weekly classes and monthly Restorative Yoga workshops.
