Description:

Come get your latin dance on! In this dance workshop we will learn beginner level Salsa Rueda. Upon completion dancers will be able to recognize about 10 move "calls" and dance them confidently and joyously. Salsa Rueda (aka "Casino de Rueda") is a particular type of circle dancing to Salsa music. It was developed in Havana, Cuba in the late 1950s and early 1960s by the group Guaracheros de Regla. Pairs of dancers form a circle, with dance moves called out by one person, a caller. Many moves involve the swapping of partners creating a fun, synchronized, playful community circle dance.
