While sipping on a mint julep or ice cold beer, you will get a chance to meet the staff and crew of Black Rock Solar as well as other Burners doing meaningful and innovative work around the country. The purpose of this event is to bring together all of the different groups and individuals on playa doing work in renewable energy, climate change, environmental outreach, and policy. Since 2007 Black Rock Solar has been building solar arrays in Nevada and giving them away at little or no cost, over 3 megawatts of clean renewable energy to date. Black Rock Solar prioritizes installations for schools, hospitals, rural communities, non-profit groups, and Native American tribes.
