Release old stories around your personna and ego bruises. Surrender to the inevitable but now. die. die and come back more alive than you have been in ever so long. we finish you off. this could work in your favor. On Mon, Jun 3, 2013 at 10:38 PM, Mackenzie Elizabeth Amara ‪<[email protected]>‬ wrote:‬ SCENARIO: AS RITUAL, WE DON’T PRE ANNOUNCE THIS. participants enter the space and are immediately blindfolded and given earplugs to put in. we then gently lie them down in a circle, where they silently lay for a few minutes. at some point, someone begins to sprinkle dirt (earth) over them, to represent a burial. at some point, we gently have them rise (still blindfolded) and line them up, placing the hands of each person on the shoulders of the person in front of them. accompanied by drums, rattles, windchimes, flutes, etc. we walk them out to some chosen, semi-remote place on the playa. once there, we paint them with white paint (in ritual markings, not the whole body) and remove their blindfolds and ear plugs. we instruct them to embody various forms of development as we walk back to the original spot - first sliding over the earth, then crawling, then walking, and finally running. perhaps even dancing by the end. reaching our end, we break out into full celebration and incorporation, simultaneously mourning the person that has just died and celebrating the new person that has made the journey back with us.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬Mackenzie Amara guides us shouting.
