Description:

35 year veteran railroad conductor and past boomer/hobo gives a tutorial on riding freight trains in the new millennium. How to be safe on the rails, not get arrested, and enjoy a rugged adventure. Hitchhiking sucks! Freight trains don't go everywhere but they can get you far and fast toward your destination. Having no destination is even better! Learn what to carry with you, where to ride on a train, and how to keep a low profile. Also learn how freight trains operate, where they stop, and how to find a 'friendly' railroad worker with whom to communicate. Familiarize yourself with the 'Do's and Don'ts' of freight train hopping and discover the last shred of what real freedom means in America.
