Description:
Join our Midnight Ritual when the Big Dipper's stars perfectly align with our art installation’s illuminated red rings, that seemingly hover in air. Take a guided meditative tour of the night sky, combining spirituality, music and physics. Led by our resident astronomer and PhD physicist (Nir Lahav), we'll journey from our galaxy to deep outer space, exploring the meaning of the universe and life in the cosmos. Relax, breathe deep, tune in. Located in deep dark Playa near Black Rock Observatory.
The ritual begins at 11:30 with drumming, vocal toning, and other healing sounds. The alignment itself takes center stage just a few minutes before and after midnight. Nir will then center our minds with conscious breathing before focusing our attention on the night sky's mysteries and wonder. Healers bring vocal toning, singing bowls and drums into the mix, with NASA’s space-sound recordings in which the planets sing. 11:30pm to 12:30am.
