Chase and Danny will explain the legal strategy to defend water protectors at Standing Rock. They will address the importance of divestment from the Dakota Access Pipeline, the spiritual basis of the environmental crisis, and the role of politics and organizing and securing justice for Native communities. These two internationally-known lawyers will announce a call to action: petitioning the North Dakota Attorney General to drop charges against all water protectors and instead file charges against Tiger Swan, the private security company operating without a permit at Standing Rock, identifying water protectors as similar to "jihadist terrorists", and colluding with state and federal law enforcement to violate the civil rights of peaceful protestors.
