Dance with the Dead
Description:
Mexican art projects; Pyramid of the Dead, Shogyo Mujo, Xochipill, Mayan Warrior, Axolotl - Earth Guardian with Maxa Camp & Dusty Cantina unite to bring you Dance with the Dead, a Playa tribute to Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead). A long standing tradition in Mexico, Day of the Dead celebrates life by adorning Catrina (sugar skull) face paint and dancing alongside our departed ancestors.
We invite you to come join this united parade. We will be offering face painting on our art car the Axolotl at 9pm at The Temple. From there we will dance and sway as the dead alongside the Mayan Warrior marching towards the Pyramid of the Dead. At the Pyramid we will host a short speaker series, DeadTalks - Reflections on Life & Death and give an offering to the Pyramid and our loved ones residing there, culminating in a dance party hosted by the 20,000 watt sound system of the Axolotl and DJ's from all over Mexico and more. Come celebrate life with us by dancing with our dead!
