We’re BAAAAACK! By popular demand, Mr.+Ms. Mudd are again hosting our fresco classes for Burning Man 2018, this time at the BoatHOUSE classroom at Black Rock City Welding and Repair! Our greeting: Come and get PLASTERED! ;o) We invite you all to “Becoming the Master/Mistress of Stones: The Arts of Buon Fresco!” Our host theme camp, Black Rock City Welding & Repair (Thank You for having us! ;), welcomes you all to their location for these wonderful fresco workshops/classes. Here’s the scoop: Apprentices will learn the various old time techniques to create a fresco (block) from scratch to take home. Participants will learn to recreate various historical mixtures that compromise the surfaces of the block, complete with plastering, cartooning, and finally, the stages of painting the actual fresco with pigments. The result? A beautiful, yet portable and tangible, aged piece of buon fresco that becomes your memento of inspired learning at Burning Man. ;) Upon completing your fresco block, you will receive a Playa Master of Arts certificate, authorizing you to be plastered anywhere on the playa! All materials are provided, simply bring yourself, and enjoy this wonderful, enduring art process that is ‘old as time.’ >>>>>That’s NOT all!
