Last year, under the moniker of Love-a-Thon, this opportunity for gifting brought smiles to hundreds. The concept will remain simple and streamlined this year– a small engaging space (connected to but distinct from our larger public facing structure) where 1:1 gift giving interactions from Lovelanders are offered up. Last year we had: 5-min massages, tarot card readings by Siamese twins from Sweden, psychotherapy sessions, guitar lessons, flogging lessons, Grandma’s cookies, manicures, necklace making, live poetry readings, aromatherapy misting, live music, etc. This year we’ll have all of that, plus new additions of silkscreening, costume alteration services, eye gazing, dating advice and more! Each day a different Lovelander will man the outpost, keeping the Serendipity Outpost open daily from 12pm-6pm. The Outpost is outfitted with a standing bar for volunteers to use to store their materials /snacks /use as a prop and 3-4 chairs, the intention here is small and intimate interactions. We have a large chalk-sign that we place in the street to display each unique offering available per shift, to help entice passersby in.
