When animals in the forest get wounded, they find a place to lie down, and they rest completely for many days, not thinking about food or anything else. They just rest and they get the healing they need. When we humans become overcome with stress we don’t stop the way the the forest animals do. Deep relaxation is an opportunity for our body to rest, heal, and be restored. (Thich Nhat Hanh, Buddha mind, Buddha body). In this guided meditation we will relax our bodies, giving attention to each part, and send our love and care to every cell. Come as you are and bring anything that will help you relax - a blanket to lie on or to prop your head, a friend, or just your rest-seeking body. We will also have essential oils to start and end our restorative time together.
