It’s is our home made dome's 10th year on the playa. In celebration, we invite anyone curious about our fabrication to come and enjoy a show and tell open house workshop. There are many styles and structures on the playa! Ours is just one of many. We include a discussion about design and material(s) and fabrication of our structure as well as modifications for ease of construction and use like adding a door and windows. And, bring your thinking hats! We will even discuss how we sourced material and sewed an actual hemispherical cover that breathes and filters the air we breathe. Yes, it really does take math! Truly this structure is a perfect marrying between science and art.
