Carousel Zarya is a rotating, interactive art installation and ride. It is hand-powered, driven by human energy, spits fire and smoke into the sky, combined together music and mechanics, arts, poetry, technology and Halloween spirit. Any citizen of Black Rock City, when tired of passive spectacle elsewhere, can come spin the Carousel and become its motor. The energy transmitted from the human motor overflows into the creativity and joy of the spinning people on the platform. They feel like actors on a stage.
Everything is there for you! It's a rotating stage for musicians, steam punk pole for dancing girls, the best wooden animals for children, theatre lights, smoke and fire for actors. We will playing authentic cozy funk from 70s on unusual musical instrument— electro hurdy-gurdy AMbox. What is this? It is like a radio but more than a radio. This is the instrument, on which everybody can play own melody.The Carousel Zarya empowers and inspires creativity and collaboration, returning participants to the free-spirited days of childhood and fantasy.
