Description:

Come and interact with Taking Flight by creating colorful ropes or adding your intentions on blank prayer flags to be strung into the installation's wheel base. Take flight in your personal journey by transforming and releasing experiences lived through, and spread your wings to fly freely. We will teach you how to create ropes with hand-cranked rope makers stationed next to the installation, or you can add expressions of personal experiences onto blank prayer flags to be strung into the 'wheel of life'. Making rope symbolizes developing strength, from the raw materials we were given. By leaving behind messages on flags, inspired by Tibetan prayer flags, you will have the opportunity for contemplation, healing, and transformation. Ropes will be made of reclaimed materials, including precut fabric strips, tapes, ribbons, string, and zippers. These will be provided or you can bring something personal to be turned into rope. It is your time to spread your wings and fly...
