It’s true, the world is running out of water. But it’s not too late! The earth is amazingly elastic and able to recover.

But it will require each of us, as earthlings and water-beings, to step up and get involved with our water. We need community programs that involve people intimately and reciprocally with their watershed. Community sustainable development programs would be many times cheaper and more sustainable than the harmful profit-driven technologies that governments and corporations are currently supporting, and they would protect bio diversity and prevent natural disasters and wars. The water that is in the hydrological cycle will provide for us forever if we care for it and allow the earth to renew it.

As Gandhi once said “the earth has enough for the needs of all but not the greed of a few“. The water cycle connects us all, and from water we can learn the path of peace in the way of freedom.
