Burning Man also offers each of us an opportunity to strengthen our ability to participate within a community and help in the creation of a society that connects to an even greater world of nature that exists beyond society. This is a special mission. And this is why you are here.
If you would like to learn HOW to do this, this session is for you.
This session is designed to:
A. increase our understanding the mission of Burning Man.
B. strengthen our own self awareness and the possibilities that lie on the other side of fear.
These sessions explore the fundamentals of mindfulness meditation and how it cultivates mindfulness –the ability to tune into your senses and be present to what’s happening moment–by-moment instead of getting lost in the storyline of your thoughts.
Through mindfulness exercises, meditation instruction, discussion and exposure to the scientific benefits and history of meditation, you will gain a clearer awareness of your thoughts, your emotions and how the power of mindfulness will propel you to connect with your super powers.
You will learn how to begin a simple meditation practice that you can do anywhere along with suggestions on how to make it a habit. (If you’re a regular meditator, you’ll learn how to deepen your existing practice.)
And lastly, you’ll learn easy ways to bring mindfulness, along with gratitude, appreciation and joy into your time here in the desert and into your everyday life.
