Massage as an Act of Care and Support
Description:
"Thai Intuitive Massage as an Act of Care and Support
This workshop is designed to provide the participants with basic tools in Thai massage, so that they can use them directly and already start to practice during the festival.
When in extreme desert conditions and overstimulated by the impulses we receive there, there is an essential need to create an oasis of care towards our own bodies and minds and support our close ones.
What you can expect:
We will explore basic principles of touch such as palming and the ability to sense and hear your body and your partner’s, as well as the processes of rocking and sinking into each other’s presence.
We work with principle called “single moment-single activity”, in order not to overstimulate our nervous systems and play with the energy line which is related to groundless and centeredness.
The massage takes place thinly dressed on a floor mat. No specific props will be used, but I recommend bringing your yoga mat and a small towel with you.
Through soulful and conscious touch, we'll leave the session feeling nourished and in a relaxed state of centred balance."
