This is an opportunity to reflect on how the day-to-day requirements of living in our culture and being accepted have suppressed our natural self-expression. So often, we suppress the joy of following our own inner compass based on our values in order to survive being in our patriarchal world. By removing these masks and self-suppression tactics (like removing layers of an onion) we experience ourselves closer and closer to our purest and self-expressed core of who we are.
