Honoring our latin roots, the “salsa for my people” party features classic hits that beckon Salsa and Cumbia aficionados to the dance floor.

Bombit@s will teach cumbia / salsa moves at sundown to visiting Burners lured in from the frontage

In every one of our parties, Burners are welcomed at the frontage of the camp by a team of “Acculturation Bouncers” and “Bike Valets”.

The “Bouncers” are empowered to improvise scripts to riff on the following themes that embody our dancefloor values:
1) Everyone is Welcome: (LGBTQ friendly + Anti-Racist stance)
2) Consent is key
3) “Hola” - our cultural icebreaker to invite a conversation about Latin America & The Global South
4) Open bar (1 MOOP per drink)
5) Civic Responsibility: Bike parking / Keeping neighborhood streets clean
