Overview: In this talk, Dr Bruce will share discoveries from two decades of field testing of prebiotic chemistry at volcanic hydrothermal settings, stromatolitic and other evidence from early Earth geology, and the search for life on Mars and habitable exoplanets.

Bio: Dr. Bruce Damer is an astrobiologist at UCSC working on the origin of life in planetary environments. His methods for achieving breakthrough insights have led to key innovations in spacecraft design, complexity theory and virtual worlds.
