In this extremely accessible dance workshop we’ll learn the basic steps of the tammurriata, a partner dance from Napoli that breaks the binaries and casts spells of love and abundance. The emphasis will be on feeling good and having fun, with meaningful cultural context sprinkled throughout. We’ll talk rhythm, symbolism, and an ancient 3rd gender figure of southern Italy.
