Description:

Starting with Darwin and the misused and misunderstood phrase "survival of the fittest," we'll discuss a basic foundation of the scientific concepts of evolution and selection, whether natural or unnatural, using some surprising animal and human examples. Then we'll dig into the underlying reasons behind some of our common human emotions and behaviors, especially the always-interesting sexual ones. How can we explain these from an evolutionary standpoint? Why are we burdened with so many traits that are now problematic for us?
