The armed occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in January 2016 was a significant event in the history of public lands in the west. In this talk Mike Marxen from US Fish and Wildlife Service will explore words and stories from the occupation that were used to provoke, challenge, resolve and heal. As we gather here and legally "occupy" this desert, what do public lands mean to you?
