Description:

Based on the book "Dear Dr. Thompson: Felony Murder, Hunter S. Thompson and the Last Gonzo Campaign" about my work with gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson to free a young woman from prison for a crime she obviously did not commit. This talk illuminates another side of the author as an activist--not about the guns and drugs. This is an educational talk about why America should abolish the Felony Murder statue which can hold people accountable for crimes they had no intention of committing. But most importantly it is about the lessons I learned from Hunter Thompson as his colleague and how a simple letter can change a person's life.
