For the past four years, the BRC Census has reported a steady rise in the median income of Burners which is significantly faster than the rate of inflation. This led some of us to wonder whether Burning Man was "gentrifying" to some degree; becoming less inclusive of low-income participants due to cost or other factors. We hope to present data and discuss conclusions from what we know thus far.
