Description:

As a practicing Heathen Gothi and leader of a kindred, Alf Herigstad is going to share a unique perspective about a ritual practice that has been misunderstood and vilified in the modern age. That is the practice of ritual slaughter, also known as animal sacrifice. He will dispel some common myths, and explore the history of this practice. He'll talk about the legalities of it, and discuss why it is still done today and is in fact making a resurgence. He will share personal accounts of how it is practiced by his kindred but more importantly...WHY it is practiced, what the purpose of it is.
