Bridging the Gap: Allyship w/the Trans Community
Description:
This workshop will be hosted by one representative each from both the trans and cis (ally) communities in an effort to foster communication and kinship through an informal panel with lots of Q & A and opportunities to be heard and to listen. The primary focus will be to allow gender queer burners to speak candidly to and to ask questions of cis burners in a safe environment without judgement. Cis attendees will be encouraged to listen and to provide space for discussion. Ever wanted to know why certain people do what they do? This is your chance to ask!
The event will be held at the Gender Blender, a safe space for trans and non-binary burners where the motto is "All Genders Welcome, Always" and will strive to spread that sentiment around the playa and beyond with meaningful communication and expression.
