Description:

As the longest-running, participatory art experience on playa, Lamplighters are an historic part of the culture of Black Rock City. Our lamps dangling from their spires, provide three gifts to Black Rock citizens: Illumination, Navigation, and Celebration. However, we also provide the gift of Participation every single night, by putting to work anyone who wants to come and help us light the City. Come and experience "community service" on a grand and meaningful scale!
